The Ultimate Vampire Resource and Directory

It takes me awhile to identify pet peeves. I'm generally pretty damn easy-going and it takes quite a bit to get on my nerves. That VR is an internet site, my threshhold is even higher. I dismiss most of the silly things that happen here because they have absolutely zero effect on my life. Don't get me wrong, I mean the random things: I do have friends here, and I take those relationships seriously.



But finally! finally, I have identified something I can gripe about. When people make those stamps that say stuff like, "I have rated you, feel free to return the favor."



Ummm...what favor? Your rating of me benefits YOU. Your rate has very little to do with me, and it's not because of status level, its because of aggregate math. A "favor" is something that requires my wanting, nay caring, that something is performed on my behalf and that you are one of the few who can intercede and perform an action that benefits me that I am unable to acquire on my own behalf.



You are doing me no favors; and your stamp is condescending and logically mismanaged. When I am stamped with this shite, based entirely ON my status level, I will not do YOU the favor of returning the profile rating.
